WAFLW: Head coach Farmer calls time as season 2023 comes to a close

Head coach Michael Farmer has announced he’s stepping down from the role in the Women’s program after three seasons.

Having taken on the role ahead of the 2021 season, the Lions made finals immediately under Farmer, before narrowly missing out the next two years.

WAFLW: Subiaco ends season on a high with win over Falcons

Subiaco has officially finished their season on a high, with an emphatic 36-point win over West Perth at Splendid Park, Yanchep on Saturday June 24.

Needing to win well to remain a chance at finals, the Lions were able to play football that defied the wet conditions.

Mr Edwards is Managing Director of Holman Industries and a long time supporter of the Subiaco Football Club dating back to travelling from Muchea to watch games with his father in the 1950’s.

WAFLW: Lions’ season in limbo after Bulldogs loss

Subiaco is no longer in control of its destiny in the 2023 WAFLW season, following a 19-point loss to South Fremantle at Fremantle Oval on Saturday June 17.

After leading the first half, the Lions weren’t able to navigate through a well structured Bulldogs defence.

At the other end, South Fremantle was able to capitalise in front of goal, putting Subiaco’s season in jeopardy.

Subiaco has made it four wins in a row, after defeating reigning Premiers West Perth by 55 points at Leederville Oval.

Subiaco Football Club appoints its first Chaplain
