Subiaco have gone down to a young Claremont outfit in an upset at Revo Fitness Stadium on Saturday April 23.

The contest was neck and neck for the entire match, where the fight between the two sides ended with the Tigers taking home the four points.

For the Lions, Stefan Giro was important with 26 disposals and 11 tackles, while Aaron Heal was solid in defence with 19 disposals.

Ash hungry for success following league debut

Homegrown wingman Noah Ash realised a dream last Saturday when he made his league debut for Subiaco.

The 21-year-old was one of eight players to make their debut for the club in the Lions’ round one loss to South Fremantle.

Ash’s first game, where he gathered 16 disposals and kicked a goal, marked the next step in his football journey which started from Subiaco’s development squad seven years ago.

Futures: Unbeaten Lions

This weekend was the setting for the final round of the WAFL Futures competition, with the Lions took on the Bulldogs after the WAFL League game under lights at Leederville Oval. The reserves had a tough outing, and were defeated by 57 points at the hands of the Bulldogs.
