2026 Wheelchair Season Starts Sunday

The Subiaco Lions wheelchair football team is ready to return to court, with the 2026 WA All Abilities Football Association season getting underway this Sunday.

The Lions open their campaign against the Sharks at 1pm on Court 1 at Swan Active Beechboro. It marks the first hit-out of a new season and the beginning of another chapter for a team that continues to grow the game and showcase footy at its most inclusive.

Wheelchair football brings the speed, skill and competitiveness of the game to players of all abilities, and the WA All Abilities Football Association provides the stage for teams across the state to go head-to-head throughout the year.

Supporters are encouraged to head down to Swan Active Beechboro on Sunday to get behind the team as they launch their 2026 season. Whether you have followed the Lions for years or are yet to see wheelchair footy in action, it is the perfect opportunity to experience the game and support the group from the first bounce.
