In the Grand Final rematch of the 2017 WAFL Reserves Grand Final, Subiaco fell just short of South Fremantle by two points at Fremantle Oval.
In a see-saing contest, South Fremantle kicked with the wind in the first quarter and built a three goal lead at quarter time before Subiaco stormed back into the match in the second quarter kicking four goals to nil to take a lead into the main break.

Subiaco continued it’s winning start to 2018 with a strong second half setting up a comprehensive 58 point win over South Fremantle
Only five points separated the teams eight minutes into the third quarter, however from that point on, it was all Subiaco as they kicked 11 of the last 14 goals of the game, romping to their biggest win against South Fremantle since 2015.

Fresh from a dominant round one victory, Subiaco are set to make the trip to Fremantle Oval this Saturday for a blockbuster match with South Fremantle.
Subiaco and South Fremantle have been the dominant teams of the past two WAFL home and away seasons, finishing first and second on the ladder entering finals in both 2016 and 2017 and have played in some absorbing contests over recent seasons.

Ethan Burnett will be the eighth new Lion to debut in 2018 and the sixth to make his WAFL league debut this year after being confirmed as a starter for the Round Two match with South Fremantle at Fremantle Oval on Saturday.
After Ben Newton, Ryan Borchet, Kaidyn Fullgrabe, Jacob Miller and Nick Menegola made their WAFL league debuts last week, Burnett becomes the 1636th player to represent Subiaco's league team.
