Regional 15s Carnival

One of the highlights in the Subiaco FC Talent calendar with the best of GFL and EDFA 15 year old players coming up to Perth to compete in a carnival against other WAFL club regional teams.

The day 1 game, the Subi team played South Freos aligned Upper Great Southern, where their speed and size were too good for the rams, with a comfortable win down at Freo oval

Day 2 gave the team a bit more of a challenge against Claremont and East Freo’s aligned Great Southern and Midwest teams respectively. Great southern started well, with Subiaco managing to sneak a few goals back but GS were too strong. The team were competitive in game 2 against Midwest, but their speed was too much for the goldfields boys

The guys also heard from Ryan Borchet and Travis Shearer about their transition from Kalgoorlie and Esperance to Perth to follow their footy dream before wrapping up the program.

Talent Manager, Stu Berryman said “it’s a great couple days for the boys being the first time they play together in the Subi Jumper.  We’ve had multiple boys from this carnival in the past go on to play WAFL and AFL football.” It’s a bit of fun, but they are competitive also, some strong talent in this group, will be seeing some of these names in the next couple years”
