GOLDS Getting Busy for the Future

Spectators at the Colts Friday Night Match got to partake in a good old fashion Sausage Sizzle at the game which served as a fundraiser for the GOLDS and the Club.  The group was all fired up and raised over $500 as well as feeding the players after a hard-fought win vs Claremont.

New GOLDS President Brad Lahore is hoping that this small gesture can become a regular occurrence and a catalyst for future fundraisers and growth of their group.

“I’m really keen in my time as President of GOLDS’s, that we are focused on supporting the players as much as possible and growing our own Membership – ultimately GOLDS should be a group who supports the Club and has a great time in doing it.” He said whilst turning a number of helpless sausages.  The Committee backed up their hard work on Friday with a Meat Raffle on Saturday which also raised money for the Club.

GOLDS has already hit the ground running in 2025 and committed to sponsoring some players (as part of the Club’s Player Sponsorship Program), hosting a Members Match Day on 23 August, a number of Player Dinners after training yet to come and even providing after match meals.

“We are keen to get back to supporting the Players as much as possible – and look forward to working with the Club on climbing back up the ladder.”

A big thanks to Brad, Bob, Dee, Jeff, Michael, Andrea and Allison who all chipped in over the weekend.

GOLDS is a coterie group open to any (male or female) Subiaco Members – if you are interested in joining and supporting the Lions, feel free to reach out to President Brad Lahore on 0429 927 420.
